UNEP and Bridge for Billions present ‘the Restoration Factory’ as a model for developing a pipeline of investment-ready sustainable land use and landscape restoration businesses.

Join us to learn about how the Restoration Factory supports entrepreneurship as a vehicle to generate real environmental and social impacts in collaboration with key local partners.

The conversation will be led by:

– Jonathan Gheyssens, Programme Officer at UN Environment Programme Climate Finance Unit.

– Julie Murat, co-founder and COO at Bridge for Billions.

About ‘The Restoration Factory’:

For the second year running, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and Bridge for Billions, along with the support of Partnerships For Forests (P4F), have joined forces to create an incubation program that will support up to 50 enterprises with the potential to restore natural ecosystems. The Restoration Factory has been created to support the emergence of commercially-viable, community-inclusive, and climate-resilient businesses that restore ecosystems and preserve landscapes.

About UNEP:

The United Nations Environment Programme’s Climate Finance Unit (CFU) drives practical, system-wide solutions to unlock private finance for landscape restoration and accelerate sustainable land-use investment.

UNEP’s CFU has developed a number of blended finance vehicles and market development initiatives that provide practical solutions to the nature finance gap by establishing ‘proof-of concept’ models to scale and ultimately mainstream sustainable land-use finance.

About Bridge for Billions:
